It’s true, everytime could be the last time.
Parent teacher conferences.
Let’s just say you went to two parent teacher conferences. But they were for yourself. Yes, I am saying you are the student and also the parent.
One of your teachers focused on how much progress you have made and that you are making. The second teacher focused on how scared she is “for you” if indeed you do not meet your milestones.
I wonder how much sleep she’s losing over her fear of your lack of progress in the future?
What if you never learn to read?
“Ahh, warm of creates!!”
-This is something my three year old said when she was expressing her joy in being comfortable and warm. She likes to just throw made up phrases out there and see if they stick. This one did.
Positive Feedback
Recently, about a month ago, before I caught every virus in succession (shh there’s always more) , I walked a rather far distance to put a shopping cart back into the shopping “cart corral” ( I had to look up what these things are called).
As I was walking back to the minivan, to my kids who I abandoned in the van, something a million bloggers have warned I should never ever do despite cool temperatures. It should just never be done. I was actually kind of angry, resentful that I had gone that far to return that cart. What if I was putting a cart person out of a job? I worry about that too. Of course someone must return them to the store.
“You are a good person.” A man said to me, sure of himself, as he passed by going the other way. He witnessed my walk to the cart corral and KNEW that proved I was a good person.
“But I’m so resentful.” I responded.
He didn’t say anything back. I do hope he’s right.
And that’s all the inspiration I have for you today.
I’m not sure if it’s uplifting enough.
If you see that tiny good part about something, just focus on that as long as you can. Then find the good part of something else. It’s a ladder. Never give up.
Thanks from John in Canada.
I’m inspired! Ty
